An analysis and summary of financial and/or market data pertaining to the specific fashion enterprise or market scenario – MS Excel (25%)
Infographics – Visual representation of the market data analysis and outcome (15%)
A seasonal range plan with garment flat illustrations and specifications applying creative software skills. (30%)
A video showcasing the whole process- making use of Infographics to present data analysis to the creation of a range plan drawing on digital storytelling techniques using appropriate software (30%).
This assessment aligns with Course Learning Outcomes 3 and 4.
CLO 3: Apply Digital applications to create persuasive audio-visual presentations in the fashion enterprise context.
CLO 4: Effectively communicate concepts using diverse creative and commercial software to audiences within and external to the field of fashion enterprise.
Rationale
This project will let you demonstrate your ability to use different commercial and creative software applications for fashion enterprise use.
Data analysis, designing and delivering presentations, producing range plans, and creating video content are key activities of many fashion enterprise professionals and successful completion of this assignment will show you are able to perform these tasks.
Method
Step 1. Analyse and summarise datasets to identify market trends.
Apply data analysing techniques and or functions to find the existence of trend or pattern in introducing styles/items into the market
Step 2. Using Graphical tools present the findings of the data analysis
Apply visual presentation technique to present the findings/ outcomes of the data analysis
Step 3. Research the format/structure of the range plan illustration, presentation, and video.
Consider the design and look of each component, and consider the appropriate software packages needed to complete them.
Step 4. Develop the necessary visual content.
Collect the visual material and start creating any self-generated images that you will need for the project.
Step 5. Construct your presentation, range plan illustrations, and video.
Using the findings of the analysis in Step 1 and the materials and outcomes created in Step 2 to populate your designs and structures created in Step 3.
Step 6. Record and present
Submit data analysis and summarisation process as an MS Excel workbook.
